Question 1

What astrological system does this site use?

Accepted Answer

All calculations use sidereal (Nirayana) Vedic astrology with the Lahiri ayanamsa, the standard used by most Indian Panchangs — not the tropical (Western) zodiac. Planetary positions come from real astronomical ephemeris calculations, not lookup tables or approximations.

Question 2

How are Kundli and Panchang calculated?

Accepted Answer

Kundli charts, divisional charts (D1-D60), Ashtakavarga, Shadbala, and Vimshottari Dasha are computed from real planetary positions at your exact birth date, time, and location. Panchang elements (Tithi, Nakshatra, Yoga, Karana, sunrise/sunset, and the auspicious/inauspicious timing windows) are calculated the same way for any date and location you choose, not read from a static table.

Question 3

Are dosha checks (Mangal Dosha, Kaal Sarp Dosha, etc.) definitive?

Accepted Answer

Dosha calculators on this site report presence based on well-established classical rules, but they intentionally do not evaluate every classical cancellation (Bhanga) condition — those are numerous and genuinely debated across different texts and traditions. Each dosha result includes a note on exactly what was and wasn't checked. Treat these as a starting point, not a final verdict — an astrologer consultation can go deeper into your specific chart.

Question 4

Why might my chart differ slightly from another site?

Accepted Answer

Small differences (a degree or two, or an occasional day's difference on tithi-based dates) can come from different ayanamsa values, different sunrise/sunset conventions, or rounding in the underlying ephemeris. We use a consistent, documented methodology across every tool on this site.

Question 5

Do I need to create an account to use the free calculators?

Accepted Answer

No. Kundli, Panchang, Muhurat, Vrat dates, and the other free calculators on this site work without signing in. An account is only needed for booking consultations, ordering reports, or saving your details for future visits.

Question 6

How does the site find my birth city's coordinates and timezone?

Accepted Answer

When you search for a city, we look it up via a geocoding service to get its exact latitude, longitude, and timezone offset — this is what makes the chart accurate to your specific birthplace rather than a generic city-level approximation.

Question 7

What's the difference between free tools and paid consultations?

Accepted Answer

The free tools compute your chart and classical calculations accurately, but they display data — they don't interpret it for your specific life situation. A consultation with one of our astrologers adds personalized interpretation, guidance, and remedies on top of the same underlying chart.

Question 8

How do I book a consultation, report, or Pooja?

Accepted Answer

You can book directly from any consultation, report, or Pooja page on the site, or from the promotional cards shown alongside our free calculators. See our full consultations list or Pooja offerings.

Question 9

What is your refund policy?

Accepted Answer

Refund eligibility depends on the service booked (live consultations, pre-recorded reports, and Poojas are handled differently). Full details are on our Return & Refund Policy page.

Question 10

What are the terms of service?

Accepted Answer

Please review our Terms & Conditions for the full terms governing use of this site and its paid services.

Question 11

Is my birth data kept private?

Accepted Answer

Birth details you enter to generate a chart are used only to perform the calculation and, if you create an account, to let you revisit your saved charts. See our full Privacy Policy for details on what we collect and how it's used.

Question 12

Do you share my information with third parties?

Accepted Answer

We don't sell your personal data. Some tools call external services (for example, city geocoding) to perform their calculation — see the Privacy Policy for specifics.
